Meaning Kilo, Mega, Giga and Tera

 

The term is certainly often the reader see and hear. Whether it while there is a physics lesson in school or size of a hard drive, micro SD and flash. For more details on the differences of these terms, let's see the conversion of the unit below.
For example I will use the example of a unit "volt". Volt is the unit for voltage and ordinary studied in physics.

1 Kilo = 1000 volts
1 Mega = 1000 = 1,000,000 volt kilovolt
1 Giga = 1,000 megavolt = 1,000,000 = 1,000,000,000 volt kilovolt
1 Tera = 1,000 megavolt gigavolt = 1,000,000 = 1,000,000,000 = 1,000,000,000,000 volt kilovolt

If dropped 1 x then multiplied by 1,000, whereas if dropped 2x then multiplied by 1,000,000. If it goes up 1x then divided by 1,000, whereas if it rises 2x then divided by 1,000,000. Easy is not it?
What about the size of a hard drive or flash? The same way, for example, your disk size is 100 GB (Gigabytes), meaning it means the same as 100 x 1,000 megabytes or (100: 1000) terabytes.
